Painter Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter Assistant to join our team at Renew Kitchens LLC. As a key member of our interior finishing team, you will be responsible for preparing and performing professional interior cabinet painting jobs in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply paint using a proper applicator, such as a paint sprayer, while utilizing proper painting techniques to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Interact professionally with customers, evaluating their requests, troubleshooting issues, and describing work orders as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify and procure the necessary materials and quantities for new and existing projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or other means necessary to ensure a smooth finish.
• Use caulk, putty, cement, or plaster to repair holes and cracks in cabinet surfaces.
• Inspect paint jobs for quality and completeness, ensuring that all work meets our high standards.
• Perform daily maintenance routines on painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
• Communicate regularly with management to update job progress and address any concerns or issues.
• Clean and sand cabinet frames and doors to prepare them for painting.
• Drive to job sites to assist with prepping kitchens for spraying and install cabinet doors.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in residential (airless) painting and/or remodeling/home repair, with a focus on light carpentry and molding installation.
• Basic knowledge of power tools and equipment, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute between job sites.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs of equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
