Ambulatory Care Nurse

The Ambulatory Care Nurse at Ellis Medicine provides high-quality patient care in the ambulatory setting, utilizing the nursing process to diagnose and treat actual or potential health problems. This role requires strong communication and coordination skills, as well as the ability to delegate tasks and supervise care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments using subjective and objective data sources.
- Develop and implement individualized Nursing Care Plans (NCPs) that address patient needs and goals.
- Deliver patient care based on the NCP, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Evaluate patient care outcomes and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide patient education on wellness, health maintenance, and restoration.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices and standards through ongoing education and self-development.
- Adhere to Exposure Control Manual policies and procedures regarding universal precautions, bloodborne pathogens, and medical waste disposal.
Requirements:
Must be licensed to practice in New York State and have ambulatory experience. Ability to push/pull, lift/move 15 lb., and perform moderately difficult manual manipulations is required. Strong communication and comprehension skills in English are essential.
