Ambulatory Care Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate with healthcare teams, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
- Collect patient health history and record information in electronic health records
- Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans
- Administer medications, provide wound care, and perform phone and in-person patient triage for clinical concerns
- Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia
- Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients
- Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians as needed to support patient flow and efficiency
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is highly preferred; a Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing requires a minimum of one year experience in conjunction with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York licensure is required
- BCL is also required
- Emergency room or critical care nursing experience and membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills necessary
- ACLS certification
