Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. As a Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing clinical laboratory procedures, examinations, and tests pursuant to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing in Microbiology and Immunology, as well as other areas of the laboratory, including Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, and Urinalysis.
  • Maintain equipment and records, and perform quality assurance activities related to examination performance.
  • Exercise independent judgment and responsibility in performing clinical laboratory procedures.
Requirements
  • BS in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related Science.
  • Five (5) years of Microbiology experience, including bacterial identification and sensitivity testing.
  • NYSED Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (or permit) required.
