About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing design teams, overseeing project execution, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality structural designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage design teams of 5 to 10 members, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate and manage company resources to maximize project efficiency.
  • Design Oversight: Oversee the development of structural designs, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to client specifications.
  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to inspect construction progress, assess structural integrity, and ensure compliance with design plans.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to address challenges and improve design processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, calculations, and specifications.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably with experience in consulting engineering.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing design teams and leading projects to successful completion.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Creative and detail-oriented with the ability to develop innovative design solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Physical Demands: Physically capable of visiting construction sites and clients facilities.
