Division of Child Adversity and Resilience

Children's Mercy Kansas City is seeking a fellowship-trained and/or board certified Child Abuse Pediatrician to join its Division of Child Adversity and Resilience in Kansas City, Missouri.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate children for possible maltreatment as part of the Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) team.
  • Provide clinical services as part of a multidisciplinary team including Child Abuse Pediatricians, General Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, and dedicated Nursing, Administrative, and Child Life staff.
  • Develop areas of expertise based on interest and skill set, then work with the Division leadership to grow those skills and impact.
  • Participate in hospital-based and community education, including the Child Abuse Pediatrics and combined Child Abuse Pediatrics-Pediatrics Emergency Medicine fellowships at Children's Mercy.
