Job Overview

Patriot Foundry and Castings, a well-established and growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a proficient Sand Molder to join our dedicated team. The selected individual will be tasked with operating furnaces to melt various aluminum and bronze alloys, subsequently pouring the molten metal into sand molds of different dimensions.

This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $26, commensurate with experience. Additionally, a performance-based bonus incentive is available.

Daily Responsibilities:

As a Sand Molder, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up tooling for new production orders.
  • Creating greensand molds utilizing hand tools and squeeze-jolt machines.
  • Preparing sand cores.
  • Troubleshooting minor issues as they arise.
  • Conducting minor preventative maintenance and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Our ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Experienced: Previous experience in greensand and/or airset molding, including making cold and hot cores.
  • Physically Fit: Capable of frequently lifting heavy loads.
  • Self-disciplined: Adheres to work instructions and promptly reports any issues.
  • Responsible: Maintains a cautious and alert demeanor at all times.
  • Organized: Keeps work area and machinery clean and in good working order.
  • Reliable: Consistently punctual and meets performance standards.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and a keen attention to detail.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • U.S. citizenship or documented residency.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
