Job Summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at the Morton Bakar Center. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and service building areas, including floors, furniture, and fixtures
  • Perform a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the facility in an orderly, sanitary, and attractive condition
  • Restock and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Assist with laundry and linen services
  • Participate in fire and disaster drills and emergency procedures
  • Assist with the management of assaultive behavior as needed
Requirements
  • One year of relevant experience in a hotel, motel, healthcare, or similar work environment
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to follow written and verbal directions
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification required
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent
Work Environment

The Morton Bakar Center is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) providing psychosocial rehabilitation and skills-building support for older adults (ages 65+) with a primary diagnosis of severe mental illness.
