The A.C. Coy Company is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline, exhibit excellent interpersonal abilities, and demonstrate a proactive approach to challenges. Recent graduates are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the month-end closing procedures, including the entry of journal entries and performing reconciliations.
  • Conduct thorough monthly reviews of journal entries and financial transactions.
  • Facilitate balance sheet reconciliations by investigating reconciled items and formulating a resolution strategy.
  • Oversee and record sales transactions.
  • Manage the depreciation and capitalization processes for fixed assets.
  • Assist with sales & use tax, as well as real and personal property tax, along with other tax-related responsibilities pertinent to the organization.

Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred experience includes accounting internships.
  • Proficient in Excel, particularly with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude is essential.
