Position Overview

This role is centered around delivering both professional and nonprofessional healthcare support services as directed by medical practitioners. The focus is on executing various nursing support tasks, which include:

  • Providing essential care services to patients without holding an RN or LPN license.
  • Operating under the guidance of physicians and mid-level practitioners, while also collaborating with registered nurses when necessary.
  • Utilizing specialized knowledge or skills acquired through vocational education and hands-on experience.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage patient flow efficiently to optimize the use of healthcare providers and examination rooms.
  2. Prepare medical records for patient visits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  3. Deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions with patients and their families.
  4. Assist patients and their families during the admission process to ensure a smooth transition.
  5. Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers during patient visits.
  6. Conduct vital sign assessments and document patient information accurately.
  7. Facilitate the collection of specimens and ensure necessary supplies are available for providers.
  8. Support billing processes by accurately documenting codes and procedures.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with infection control standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic patient record systems.
