About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Packing Operator to join our team at OMG Inc., a leading manufacturer of fastening products and technologies for the commercial roofing and construction industries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Promote a culture of safety as the top priority for all employees.
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate automated- and semi-automated machines to pack parts according to specifications and Kanban card requirements.
  • Quality Control: Ensure product is packed according to specifications and perform preventative maintenance inspections as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist other Packing Operators with machine set up, stacking, marking, packing, and transporting packed product.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a neat and well-organized work area and observe all safety rules.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to interpret safety instructions, job orders, quality specifications, and other related documents.
  • Math and Mechanical Skills: Strong math and mechanical reasoning skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to contribute as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual Skills: Good close vision and depth perception skills.
  • Attitude and Judgment: Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.
  • Responsibility: Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
