Packing Operator Job Description

At OMG Inc., we are seeking a skilled Packing Operator to join our team. As a Packing Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient packaging of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety First: Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate automated and semi-automated machines to pack products according to specifications and Kanban card requirements.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that products are packed to the highest quality standards.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other Packing Operators to achieve production goals and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in preventative maintenance inspections and suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong math and mechanical reasoning skills, good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interpret safety instructions and job orders.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
