Job Summary

Rugged Design Inc is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production Teams: Work closely with engineering and production teams to develop and implement quality standards and procedures.
  • Inspect and Evaluate Products: Conduct visual and measurement tests to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Approve First Articles: Approve the first article following each machine setup and sampling of finished products.
  • Identify and Document Non-Conforming Parts: Identify and document non-conforming parts and assemblies, and ensure containment.
  • Maintain QC Area: Maintain the quality control area using 5S standards.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen due to ITAR regulations.
  • Manufacturing Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing quality assurance.
  • Metrology Equipment Familiarity: Familiarity with various types and applications of metrology equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion, and work in a manufacturing environment with moving parts, chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
