We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Thrift Store Sales Associate to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory. As a Thrift Store Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining the thrift store at standard operating level and completing all daily duties and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Merchandise Management: Ensure all shelves and clothing racks are full and organized to promote sales.
  • Inventory Control: Assist management team in investigating and properly pricing items to be sold, as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being polite, prompt, and courteous, and in line with the mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean environment throughout the store, including shelves, counters, and tables.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including wrapping and bagging merchandise for customers.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience: Retail and/or cash register experience preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, basic computer skills, and strong independent judgment.
Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a retail setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
