Northside Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Atlanta, renowned for its cutting-edge facilities and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Triage Nurse in our Oncology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of cancer treatment services.
Key Responsibilities- Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
- Work closely with Oncologists to assist in caring for patients, reviewing plans of care, and coordinating necessary referrals.
- Review lab values, send prescriptions to pharmacies, and maintain accurate dose records.
- Offer nurse visits, provide patient education, and triage patient calls and calls from partner facilities.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and their providers, building lasting relationships and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- BSN degree preferred.
- National Certification in Clinical Specialty preferred.
- Other preferred RN attributes are unit specific.
