Supply Chain Management Consulting, LLC is a prominent advisory firm within the Aerospace & Defense sector, focusing on enhancing supply chain efficiency.

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Microwave Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough analysis, research, design, development, fabrication, and testing of devices and integrated microwave assembly systems for applications ranging from 1 MHz to over 20 GHz.
  • Engage in original RF circuit design and analysis.
  • Plan and organize tests, ensuring proper setup for evaluations.
  • Monitor device performance during testing phases and assess results.
  • Assist in preparing lists for spare parts, special tools, test equipment, and other engineering documentation.
  • Specify the acquisition of specialized components and testing apparatus.

Provide substantial technical input into the design of RF and microwave electronic products, including:

  • Solid-state power amplifiers
  • Low-noise amplifiers
  • Up converters and down converters synthesizers
  • RF switching and distribution networks

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient in using high-frequency electronic instruments, such as oscillators, audio oscillators, standing wave amplifiers, multi-meters, phase-sensitive demodulators, volt-ohm meters, logic and network analyzers, AF and RF signal generators, and wave meters.
  • Ability to maintain focus and adhere to a systematic approach while managing diverse tasks.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Ability to create link budgets, calculate noise figures, analyze/test phase noise, and compute inter-modulation products.
  • Proficient in measuring and calculating insertion loss and VSWR of microwave devices.
  • Solid understanding of RF theory, including S-parameters, noise figure, gain, 1dB compression, harmonics, and inter-modulation distortion measurement.
  • Experience with design and simulation software.
  • Familiarity with frequency ranges from 1 MHz to 18 GHz.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years of relevant experience and/or a combination of education and training.
