Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-quality patient care services, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  2. Evaluate patients and develop effective treatment plans to achieve set goals.
  3. Deliver physician-prescribed physical therapy treatment to patients, helping them reach their maximum potential.
  4. Prioritize caseloads and treatment times to ensure maximum efficiency.
  5. Utilize various treatment modalities to improve or minimize residual physical disabilities.
  6. Recognize contraindications to treatment and consult with physicians as needed.
  7. Involve family members or caregivers in treatment planning and discharge planning.
  8. Interpret patient information to identify age-specific needs.
  9. Document patient information effectively to communicate with physicians, insurance companies, and caregivers.
  10. Collaborate with hospital personnel to provide quality patient care and cost-efficient programming.
  11. Provide patient and caregiver education on home exercise programs and discharge preparation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy school.
  • PREFER: Master's Degree or DPT Degree.
  • PREFER: One (1) year of work-related experience.
  • PREFER: One to two (1-2) years' experience with electronic medical records.
  • PREFER: One to two (1-2) years' experience in orthopedics, neurological, and vestibular disorders.

Working Conditions

  • Manual: significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Occupational: significant occupational risk.
  • Physical Environment: some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
