Position Title: Light/Med Equipment Operator

Position Overview:

The Equipment Operator is tasked with the diligent care and operation of machinery including bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, and water trucks, while ensuring a secure working atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates heavy machinery such as front-end loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, and water trucks.
  • Conducts servicing and routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Facilitates the transportation and delivery of materials.
  • Plans and coordinates routes within an industrial context, prioritizing safety.
  • Exhibits a strong work ethic and possesses the physical capability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrates the ability to read, comprehend, and enforce safety protocols.
  • Possesses knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance, including tire pressure and fluid levels.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Understanding of heavy equipment operation and safety regulations.

Physical and Job Site Requirements:

  • Ability to complete hiring documentation electronically.
  • May need to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess sufficient strength and endurance to perform the essential functions of the role.
  • Capable of navigating confined spaces and uneven terrain.
  • Full range of motion is expected.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
  • Adequate hearing to respond to verbal commands and alarms.
  • Visual acuity and depth perception necessary for working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Safety footwear is required.
