Job Summary

Webber is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a lattice boom, rough terrain crane to hoist and move materials, raise and lower heavy weights, and perform other related operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate a crawler type or rubber tire cranes on rough terrains, including placement of rock riprap, clamshell, dragline, pipe, and pile driving operations.
  2. Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance procedures on equipment, such as oiling, greasing, and other services to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and make adjustments to equipment as needed to ensure efficient operation.
  4. Job Site Safety: Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, equipment, workers, and falling objects.
  5. Team Collaboration: Signal truck drivers to position trucks to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
Requirements
  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  2. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
  3. Physical Demands: Move throughout a construction jobsite, including minor obstacles, such as climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  4. Work Environment: Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions, such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
