Position Overview:
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for conducting essential maintenance tasks, including lubrication and inspections of machinery as per manufacturer guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and document any leaks or damages on equipment.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is functional and report findings.
  • Maintain auto grease systems and ensure they are filled and operational.
  • Lubricate all grease points according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Monitor and document levels of engine oil, coolant, hydraulic oil, and transmission oil.
  • Record operational hours for all equipment.
  • Assist with minor repairs and general maintenance as necessary.
  • Perform general labor tasks as required.
  • Obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within the initial employment period.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in heavy equipment maintenance is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • CDL with Hazard endorsement is preferred.
  • Strong safety orientation.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Willingness to comply with safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Strong work ethic is essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Demands:
The physical requirements of this position include:

  • Ability to push and pull with hands, arms, and feet repetitively.
  • Good visual and auditory capabilities to navigate a construction environment.
  • Coordination between hands, eyes, and feet to operate equipment.
  • Ability to mount and dismount vehicles and equipment.
  • Capability to walk on uneven terrain and lift up to 50 pounds.

Environmental Working Conditions:
Work is primarily conducted outdoors, exposing employees to various weather conditions and terrains.
