Position Overview The Sales Operations Associate Manager will play a pivotal role in the strategic advancement of gas systems and eco-friendly markets to meet defined revenue targets. This role is designed to support direct sales efforts and manage assigned projects while facilitating the distribution of our products and services through our Distributor Network to achieve anticipated sales and profit margins as outlined by the Senior Sales Manager. The Sales Operations Associate Manager will collaborate with team members to address customer needs and assist in the development of new clientele and market opportunities.Key Responsibilities (Essential)
  1. Assist in overseeing sales activities related to planning, forecasting, reporting, new business analysis, and project oversight, focusing on both distribution networks and direct sales for original equipment and service offerings.
  2. Act as a liaison between the Senior Sales Manager and the distribution network, providing commercial and technical support.
  3. Help coordinate activities with designated accounts, including identifying areas for distribution improvement and potential new distributors. Responsibilities also include training sales representatives or distributors, evaluating sales performance, reporting to management, addressing customer complaints, providing sales support, and facilitating conflict resolution. Contribute to the development of new sales leads for national accounts.
  4. Support operational and strategic planning to ensure that data and assumptions related to operational planning inputs are accurate.
  5. Assist in prospecting and channel development efforts within existing and new Direct Accounts and distribution market channels, particularly in natural gas, biogas, and sustainable market segments.
  6. Help prepare and support regularly scheduled distributor and customer review meetings.
  7. Collaborate with Sales and Account Management and other departments to assist in creating and maintaining a strategic initiative plan for each distributor and direct account to foster organic growth across a range of products.
  8. Assist in designing and developing product presentations and other sales materials alongside distributor sales managers for customers, seminars, and trade shows.
  9. Maintain competitive product and pricing knowledge. Assist in compiling composite reports from individual sales representatives and distributors.
  10. Support the management of travel and promotional assistance budgets.
  11. Assist Project Management in executing projects as required.
  12. Foster a culture of compliance within the area of responsibility and adhere to the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
  13. Engage in special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or engineering, or 4 years of experience in large equipment/genset sales management within the gas engine sector.
  2. Strong ability to present information effectively in both written and oral formats to senior management, public groups, and boards of directors.
  3. Self-motivated individual capable of working independently for extended periods, demonstrating a strong personal drive and a positive attitude.
  4. Proficient understanding of genset diagrams and schematics.
  5. Adept at problem-solving, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions.
  6. Solid knowledge of spreadsheet analysis and financial management.
  7. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently.
  9. Proficient in time management and prioritization skills to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  10. Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in selling gas engines in the US market with a solid understanding of its financial model structure.
  2. Experience in building relationships with EPC, developers, integrators, ESCOs, engineering firms, and end users with whom previous sales of gas power plants (natural gas and biogas) have been conducted.
  3. Knowledge and ability to communicate effectively in building construction scenarios involving M/E Contractors, Design Engineers, and Commissioning Engineers.
