Role Overview:
The Branch Service Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a productive environment for both staff and clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee branch service, sales, and operational functions to meet strategic objectives in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
  • Provide significant input on hiring, performance assessments, promotions, and employee terminations.
  • Facilitate training, coaching, and mentoring for team members.
  • Address and resolve client service challenges, including complex complaints and inquiries.
  • Supervise the activities of managed staff.
  • Recommend employee status changes and manage grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and internal policies, maintaining safety protocols.
  • Lead sales initiatives through personal contributions and oversight of service tasks.
  • Exercise discretion in approvals and operational overrides.
  • Participate in the planning of operational, sales, and customer experience objectives.
  • Investigate operational issues, including fraud, and resolve significant matters on behalf of the organization.
  • Act as a representative for the branch in dispute resolution and complaint handling.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, with a minimum of 2 years in retail banking, sales, customer service, or related fields.
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Familiarity with banking industry standards, processes, and regulations.
  • Understanding of lending practices and procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship-building, sales, and management capabilities.
  • Proficient in addressing various client concerns effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competent in using computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to maintain high work standards and lead a team.
  • Effective interpersonal skills across various roles.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and communication abilities.
