Job Summary

The Water Operator is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of the City of Meridian's potable and reclaimed water distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain water treatment plants and distribution systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities
  • Conduct water quality tests and analyze results
  • Assist in the installation and repair of water mains and services
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in water treatment or distribution operations
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
