Responsibilities of the Technical Designer:

  • Perform fittings and implement necessary adjustments to technical specifications.
  • Engage in communication with both the client and manufacturing partners regarding any technical design challenges or modifications.
  • Accurately measure garments to pinpoint fit discrepancies and efficiently execute fit feedback to stay aligned with production timelines.
  • Participate in fitting sessions, offer suggestions, document observations, and log critiques to effectively address all concerns.
  • Provide grading instructions to vendors post-fit approval to ensure quality uniformity and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Authorize samples for production following a comprehensive assessment of fit, measurements, pattern design, visual appeal, and functionality.

Qualifications for the Technical Designer:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in women's woven apparel.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical design.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
