Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support our team in Salisbury, MA. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy plans and activities for students.
- Conduct small group or individual therapy sessions under the supervision of the SLP.
- Monitor and document student progress, reporting any changes to the supervising SLP.
- Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions.
- Assist in the evaluation of students' speech and language needs.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding therapy objectives and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Current Massachusetts license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and specialists.
