Job Title: Failure Analysis Technician

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Failure Analysis Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily experiments on various equipment, including Rotational Rheometer, DMA, Capillary Rheometer, SEM/EDS, XRF, FTIR, TGA, and DSC, to support R&D projects and business unit projects.
  • Write technical reports detailing equipment methodology, procedure, and analysis results, including graphical representation and fundamental knowledge to support test findings.
  • Communicate with customers regarding test requests and results.
  • Upload test results into a centralized database.
  • Perform regular instrument maintenance and collaborate with suppliers to troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for instrumentation.
  • Provide consulting advice on complex material issues for R&D and business unit projects.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of material characterizing techniques, including Rheology, DMA, FTIR, SEM/EDS, XRF, DSC, and TGA.
  • Preferred hands-on experience using and interpreting data from analytical techniques in areas such as Rotational Rheology, DMA, Capillary Rheology, SEM/EDS, FTIR, XRF, DSC, and TGA.
  • Self-motivated individual with no hesitation to perform material analysis.
  • A strong team player with a positive, proactive, and professional attitude.

Education:

Minimum high school diploma with a preference for a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience using material characterization equipment, such as SEM and FTIR.
  • Self-motivated individual able to perform material analysis.
  • Able to write technical reports on analysis results.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Prior experience with SEM, pot and polish, FTIR.
