We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice at KPMG. As a key member of our team, you will work with multi-state companies to provide state and local income tax compliance services.
Responsibilities- Provide technical advice on multi-state tax issues to clients
- Review information presented on state income and franchise tax estimated payments
- Build and manage client relationships, and supervise, mentor, and develop staff
- Monitor risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets
- Collaborate with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice
- Minimum eight years of recent experience with state income tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, or pass-through entities
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field of study from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, JD/LLM, EA or MTX, or other approved credential
- Experience providing services to public companies and a solid knowledge of relevant state tax concepts
- Ability to foster relationships both internally and with clients, and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment
- Experience mentoring and counseling staff level team members
