USA Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the University of South Alabama Hospitals. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing specialized pharmacy services to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and coordinate therapeutic programs with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care.
- Develop and implement specialized training and in-service educational programs for students, patients, pharmacy personnel, nurses, and physicians.
- Coordinate clinical research activities and investigational drug handling to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor and review medication errors and adverse drug reactions to ensure patient safety.
- Measure and evaluate the appropriateness and quality of drug utilization to inform pharmacy practice.
- Perform consultations and provide expert advice on medication therapy to healthcare professionals.
- Supervise dispensing functions and ensure accurate and timely medication delivery.
- Graduation from a recognized school of pharmacy with a PharmD degree and completion of a one-year post-doctoral residency program, or graduation from a recognized school of pharmacy with three years of clinical/hospital pharmacy experience.
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Alabama and Controlled Substances certificate.
- Completion of an approved Alabama Board of Pharmacy IV certification program within three months of employment.
