Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including administering pre-operative medications and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during surgery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Participate in the maintenance of a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Assist with the teaching and training of new staff members and students.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the operating room.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or maintains an accredited Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA).
- Or, provides evidence of the successful completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the United States Military.
- Level I- Entry level position for new graduates of Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologists with 0 to 18 months experience.
- Level II- Requires 6 to 12 months of full-time equivalent Surgical Technology or relevant military experience.
