Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Duke Regional Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients, from infancy to geriatrics, under the direction of a professional nurse.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, ensuring the team maintains a sterile environment.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, applying basic knowledge of instrumentations to multiple cases.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff members, and physicians, adhering to standards including unit and hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety goals.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or maintains an accredited Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA).
  • Level I: Entry-level position for new graduates of Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologists with 0 to 18 months experience.
  • Level II: Requires 6 to 12 months of full-time equivalent Surgical Technology or relevant military experience.
