Position Overview
As a Senior Accounting Associate at Hall CPA LLC, you will report directly to an Accounting Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing financial statements generated by associates using QuickBooks and other accounting software. You will also present these financials to clients, who are primarily real estate investors and small business owners, while providing valuable guidance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise a team of staff accountants to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables by removing obstacles, setting deadlines, managing workloads, and offering training and support.
2. Exhibit a thorough understanding of accounting principles by reviewing the work of junior accountants and providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
3. Prepare, review, and deliver accurate financial statements, including dashboards, KPIs, and forecasts, while fostering strong client relationships.
4. Engage confidently with clients through video calls, phone conversations, or emails, addressing any concerns as necessary.
5. Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on best accounting practices and suggesting additional services that may assist them in achieving their objectives.
6. Provide supplementary services to clients, including regular oversight calls and customized reporting and analysis.
7. Facilitate efficient client onboarding through effective project management to ensure a seamless experience.
8. Identify opportunities for improvement within the firm and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness through collaboration and technology.
9. Ensure a smooth transition of client accounts to the tax team at year-end for tax return preparation.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
2. 2-3 years of senior-level review experience, preferably with real estate and small business clients.
3. 1-2 years of experience leading a team of accountants to produce quality work and foster a positive culture.
4. Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Yardi, and other property management software.
5. Knowledgeable about various entity types and transactions.
6. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
7. Proven experience managing client relationships and meeting engagement objectives accurately and timely.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
9. Public accounting experience is preferred; CPA certification is not required but will be compensated based on credentials and experience.
