Occupational Therapist

As a compassionate Occupational Therapist with Mercy Medical Center Home Health and Hospice, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support to our patients and their families, and we are seeking a skilled and empathetic Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, as ordered by the attending physician.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care to address patients' unique needs and goals.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' level of functioning and identify areas for improvement.
• Use a variety of techniques and interventions to help patients achieve their goals, including activities and home exercise programs.
• Educate patients and their families on proper use of equipment and techniques to promote independence and safety.
Requirements:
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of employment.
• Minimum one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting, with home care experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and transferring patients.
