As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Concrete Finishing Technician to support our Quality Control team. This role involves conducting quality inspections and ensuring that our high standards are met in the final product. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Position Details: At Wells, we specialize in designing, producing, and erecting precast buildings, and we are looking for skilled laborers to assist in the finishing process.

This is a full-time position with a reputable company that offers competitive benefits.

Wells is committed to training successful candidates through structured, step-by-step guidance and supportive coaching from management and peers. Previous experience in manufacturing or construction is not required, but it is advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity for career advancement.

Compensation: Starting wage is $25-$27 per hour.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform various tasks to assist in achieving the required finish and detail for product delivery. Conduct necessary repairs or adjustments to meet the company's quality standards.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Climbing on and off forms, panels, and work platforms.
  • Transporting materials needed for panel work.
  • Utilizing hand tools and power tools, including cut-off saws, grinders, and drills.
  • Knowledge of operating gas/acetylene torches.
  • Operating company forklifts (training provided for those without experience).
  • Experience in concrete work, including pouring, leveling, and finishing.
  • Operating overhead cranes (training provided for those without experience).
  • Understanding proper rigging and handling of products.
  • Willingness to learn sandblasting and water-blasting techniques.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
  • Proficient in English to read instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to become an authorized forklift operator.
  • Experience with overhead cranes is a plus (training available).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and using hands/forearms repetitively.
  • Ability to work on feet for up to 12 hours a day.
  • Comfortable working at various heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Exposure to moderate to high-risk elements.
  • Safety precautions are essential.
  • Production environment with potential exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round.
