Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and operate the appropriate technical factors for diagnostic CT examinations, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner, adhering to established standards and practices.
  • Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, maintaining modesty and ensuring safe use of auxiliary equipment and devices.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within the electronic medical record system accurately and on time.
  • Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
  • Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field through in-service study, attending courses or seminars as necessary.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
  • Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table and equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited, AMA-approved institution.
  • ARRT (CT) certification (preferred).
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
