GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver professional and respectful service to all stakeholders of Ogden Clinic, including patients, healthcare providers, administration, and insurance representatives.
Uphold behavioral standards and respect the dignity of every individual. Responsible for resource management and stewardship.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and adhere to safety protocols for oneself, patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Familiarize oneself with and follow all Clinic Policies and Procedures as well as OSHA regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


Administer or prescribe treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and specialized medical care to address or prevent illnesses, diseases, or injuries within the specific area of expertise.

Conduct tests, interpret results, and analyze medical records to accurately diagnose patient conditions.
Monitor patient health and progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.
Communicate procedures and discuss test outcomes or prescribed treatments with patients.
Provide guidance to patients and community members regarding nutrition, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
Collaborate with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical personnel.

Design, implement, or manage health programs or standards within the Clinic and the community aimed at preventing or treating injuries or illnesses.

Educate and train residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
Stay current with technical advancements and apply new knowledge in practice.
Offer expert advice and guidance to management or other groups on technical, systems, or process-related issues.
Interpret medical reports and records, conveying information to patients in an understandable manner.
Engage in health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, diagnosis, and treatment of both acute and chronic conditions.
Advocate for patients within the healthcare system to ensure cost-effective care through coordinated healthcare services.

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care in the treatment, assessment, and education of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Encourage good health practices and illness prevention in the designated area of expertise.

Adhere to federal, state, and local legal and professional standards by reviewing existing and new legislation, ensuring compliance, and advising management on necessary actions.

Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional literature, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Develop the healthcare team by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth.

OTHER DUTIES:
Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as required.
Safeguard the confidentiality of patient records and employee information.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited MD/DO program in OB/GYN with a current license to practice in Utah.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety protocols, operational instructions, medical histories, and procedural manuals.

Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence, as well as effectively communicating before groups of patients or colleagues.

Mathematical skills:
Able to perform basic arithmetic operations.

Reasoning skills:
Able to apply common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Capable of addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
Proficient in basic word processing and spreadsheet software.
Familiarity with general office equipment and procedures is beneficial.

Must effectively collaborate as a team member within the department and its practices.
Must protect confidential information, records, and reports.
Must communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
Must possess strong organizational skills.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
Requires frequent communication, listening, standing, sitting, and walking.
Requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
Occasional kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling may be necessary.
Ability to lift and transport patients is required.
Visual acuity necessary to adjust focus.
Must possess all physical capabilities required to perform the job.
Noise levels are moderate, with ongoing conversations, computer usage, printers, telephones, etc.
