At the Good Samaritan Society, we are committed to providing quality care and service in a Christian environment. We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity, working 2nd or 3rd shift.


Job Summary:
The LPN will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of nursing principles and be able to demonstrate competency in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and performing testing as needed.
  • Contribute to the assessment of residents and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans.

Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
