We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient services, including identifying, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients. You will also provide indirect services, such as consulting, advising, teaching, and training patients and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients' conditions according to physician orders and current standards of practice.
- Provide appropriate interventions, including treatment related to established plans of care, with appropriate duration and intensity.
- Educate and train patients and their caregivers.
- Accept assignments from the Director or Team Lead, including case load, productivity standards, education, and in-servicing others.
- Actively participate in the quality improvement process for the team and the clinical setting.
- Communicate through written chart notes, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries regarding patients' status, any complications, prognosis, and plans for follow-up care.
- Record daily charges and submit for payment according to department billing guidelines.
- Participate in regularly scheduled or special clinical meetings related to patient care and clinic management.
- Maintain appropriate team and interdisciplinary relationships.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license in the State of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
- Certified Occupational Therapist through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) (preferred).
This is a part-time position eligible for full-time benefits. The hourly range for this position is $63.59. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that covers a wide range of programs to foster a sustainable culture of wellness.
