Job Summary
The University of California, San Francisco is seeking a highly qualified Clinician Educator to join the Division of Geriatrics in the Department of Medicine. As a Clinician Educator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching and mentoring trainees, and contributing to the development of clinical programs in geriatrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive geriatric care in ambulatory, nursing home, inpatient, and home-based settings
- Teach and mentor trainees in the practice and teaching of clinical geriatrics
- Contribute to the development of clinical programs and services in geriatrics
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive care
Requirements
- ABIM certification in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine or ABIM board-eligibility for Geriatrics or Palliative Medicine
- Competence in the practice and teaching of clinical geriatrics
- Experience in clinical care and teaching in geriatrics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in an interprofessional team
