About the Role:

This position involves working under minimal supervision, compounding and dispensing medications according to professional standards and practices. The successful candidate will also prepare and maintain all necessary records on prescriptions, patient charges, and inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medication orders for dispensing
  • Evaluate patient profiles and comprehensive drug data files
  • Verify patient information and proper physician authorization
  • Compound and admix drugs as ordered by physicians
  • Ensure accurate preparation of all formulas or medications
  • Direct technician workflow and provide guidance when needed
  • Provide pharmacological information to healthcare professionals and patients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and current state licensure
  • Level 1: 0-3 years experience as a registered pharmacist (Oncology background preferred)
  • Level 2: Minimum three years of experience as a registered pharmacist (three years of experience in a pharmacy with I.V. skills preferred)

Compensation:

A competitive salary of $145,000 per year is offered, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting our Pharmacy Department.
