Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic nursing care, including vital sign checks, wound care, and patient comfort measures.
  • Document accurate and ongoing patient assessments, including nursing interventions, patient responses, and progress toward goals.
  • Communicate effectively with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure patients receive comprehensive care and support.
  • Teach patients and their families about health information and provide written materials as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations with professionalism and precision.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge patients as required.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including charting, reporting, and completing medical forms.
  • Verify patient identities before administering medications or treatments.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available and report needs to the Director of Nursing.
  • Maintain accurate narcotic records and notify the Director of Nursing of any discrepancies.
  • Provide thorough and concise reports at shift changes and communicate pertinent information to colleagues.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
  • Current License Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
  • Technical or other training or better.
Compensation:

$35.00 - $39.04 per hour.
