Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement strategies to attract top asset managers across both traditional and alternative sectors, including hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital, to establish a presence in Singapore and deepen and diversify their capabilities here.
  • Work on legislative enhancements to Singapore's fund structures, including limited partnership and variable capital companies (VCCs), to increase Singapore's attractiveness as a leading fund domiciliation centre.
  • Promote innovation and facilitate the adoption of technology by asset managers and the funds ecosystem, including areas like fund tokenisation and digitalisation of fund settlement processes.
  • Engage global public investors, such as sovereign wealth and public pension funds, to add to the depth and diversity of the pool of institutional investors in Singapore.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and formulate strategies to enhance the growth of the funds ecosystem.
Requirements
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A legal background and/or understanding of Singapore's legislative processes will be an advantage but is not a requirement.
