Family Ark is dedicated to providing therapeutic services for individuals and families in southern Indiana. Our innovative program, the Lotus House, offers transitional housing for expectant and parenting mothers in recovery.
Position Summary:
The Recovery Support Staff play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the Lotus House residential program. This position is supervised by the Lotus House Program Supervisor.
Our Mission:
At Family Ark, we strive to create impactful human service programs that foster positive transformations in the lives of children and families. Our core values include compassion, empowerment, partnership, and hope.
Benefits:
Part-time employees are entitled to 72 hours of paid time off (PTO) and 38 hours of sick leave, which includes mental health days. We also provide 11 paid holidays, including the employee's birthday and a personal cultural holiday. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of clients and programs.
- Assist in coordinating day reporting and treatment programs, including community service, education, parenting, childcare, substance abuse treatment, and Independent Living (IL) skills.
- Provide transportation and childcare assistance as required.
- Complete necessary documentation, including daily case notes, shift logs, maintenance requests, and visitation notes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Preferred: Two years of post-secondary education or Peer Support Specialist certification.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass extensive background checks.
- Family Ark maintains a drug-free workplace; candidates are subject to pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing.
Work Environment:
The Family Ark campus spans 76 acres, featuring natural wetlands, walking paths, and open play areas. This unique setting is utilized for family events, therapeutic activities, supervised family visitations, and community gatherings.
Work Schedule:
Hours are from 10 AM to 6 PM, three days a week (24 hours total).
Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
