Master Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Benicia, CA. As a key member of our maintenance operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our shop, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, and conducting inspections and repairs on our company vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of diesel engine experience and possess a strong understanding of diagnostic, repair, and maintenance procedures. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and management.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Perform preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, troubleshoot failures, and diagnose deficiencies, making necessary corrections.
• Complete daily checklists and maintain accurate records of maintenance duties performed.
• Communicate any problems or issues with units promptly.
• Conduct annual vehicle inspections and ensure equipment is properly parked in accordance with facility permits and DOT requirements.

**Salary:** $36-$38 per hour based on experience
