About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a passionate advocate for students with diverse learning needs, you will create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that foster academic, social, and emotional growth in an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Individualized Support: Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with disabilities, providing direct instruction and support tailored to their unique needs.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
  • Curriculum Adaptation: Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet students' diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional strategies to maximize outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Certification: Valid Massachusetts Department of Education Special Education Certification (mild/moderate or moderate/intensive).
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience working with students with disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disabilities, and Learning Disabilities.
