Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily functions of activities and programming within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees and assesses programs and activities to ensure that volunteers adhere to established procedures and meet departmental standards.
  • Facilitates communication between activity staff and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Organizes the setup of communal areas for activities, collaborating with housekeeping and culinary teams.
  • Ensures sufficient inventory of supplies, equipment, and documentation; may require approval from the program director for requisitioning supplies.
  • Maintains a flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and weekends.
  • Provides support in other units as necessary.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary meetings as required.
  • Addresses and resolves crises or challenging situations as they occur.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES

This role will serve as the Charge Activity representative in the absence of the Activity Directors.

QUALIFICATIONS
(EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

A minimum of one year of experience in a long-term healthcare or mental health environment is required, particularly in direct care for seniors with various forms of dementia. A high school diploma or GED is also necessary.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: Starting at $16.00 per hour
