Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech Job Opportunity

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech to join our Cardiovascular Diagnostic team at Bridgton Hospital.

About the Role

As a Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech, you will assist physicians with complex ultrasound procedures to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricles, and left atria, and visualize blood flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography procedures to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions
  • Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide patient care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a completion of an accredited Sonography/Ultrasound tech/Radiography educational program
  • Be ARDCS or CCI Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certified (preferred) or obtain certification within one to two years of hire
  • Have one to two years of ultrasound experience in echocardiography (preferred)
  • Hold current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
