Emergency Services Assistant Nurse Manager

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Services Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and engaging staff on designated units to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop staff to ensure best practices are followed and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Accountable for achieving harm index, compliance to evidence-based protocols, patient safety, HCAPS, rounding, vacancy, turnover, productivity, overtime, expense, work place safety, and staff engagement performance metrics.
- Make staff assignments to align with staff competencies to ensure appropriate patient care and actively manage staff each shift.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, coaching, and development of staff, and ensure execution of action plans to improve staff development and employee engagement.
- Assist in the hiring and onboarding process, as well as contribute to performance evaluations and staff management, as delegated by the Nursing Manager.
- Provide increased leadership visibility through actively engaging in real-time patient rounding, to support coaching and mentoring of the patient care team.
- Initiate and foster continuous improvement within the department. Identify and resolve patient/customer satisfaction issues and complaints.
- Ensure that policy, procedures, and standards are developed, implemented, and maintained.
- Ensure communication of program priorities, policies, and procedures across the team to ensure consistent patient experience and optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
- 3 years nursing experience: Emergency Nursing preferred
