Overview

The role entails comprehensive supply chain evaluation and oversight of materials management activities. The individual will act as the primary contact for administrative functions related to material management and will work closely with internal partners to enhance and refine the material management framework through ongoing improvement projects and initiatives. The position of Supply Chain Manager is heavily reliant on data and necessitates strong analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, oversee the coordination, monitoring, and administration of all inventory to ensure it is accurately material mastered and cataloged.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to establish RFP processes with suppliers for significant contracts on an annual basis.
  • Generate and assess materials management KPIs along with vendor performance metrics.
  • Ensure that KPIs and business controls function effectively through reporting and indirect leadership.
  • Conduct analysis and reporting on inventory expenditures and costs across all operational divisions.
  • Oversee the sale and disposal of surplus capital equipment and inventory in accordance with the established disposal policy.
  • Facilitate the configuration and monitoring of material master data settings and relevant KPIs.
  • Assist in forecasting inventory needs, performing reconciliations, and preparing inventory outlook reports.
  • Review reconciliations with the Corporate Controller to guarantee precise stock control and accounting practices.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to address vendor-related issues, manage new purchases, disposals, and fulfill reporting requirements, including participation in departmental meetings as necessary.
  • Support the organization’s cycle counts, including third-party locations, and reconcile stock discrepancies.
  • Act on any MRP requirements, ensuring effective communication with field stakeholders and department leaders.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to materials management.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required; a bachelor's degree in business administration, materials management, industrial distribution, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in inventory and materials analysis or management.
  • Experience in production planning, supply planning, procurement, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Background in a materials control or warehouse environment is a plus.
  • Experience in supporting and participating in SOX and internal assessments is desirable.
  • Understanding of the financial implications of inventory management, warehouse inventory, and cycle counting analysis is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capability to handle several tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work outside of regular hours as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing development of functional and technical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in responsibilities and workload.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on teamwork.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, start-up environment.
  • Experience in the Permian Basin is preferred.
  • Familiarity with oilfield terminology and operations is beneficial.
