The Role
As a Culinary Support Specialist at Living Room, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, ensuring that our culinary team functions seamlessly.
Your responsibilities will include ingredient preparation, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting chefs to contribute to the overall success of our dining experience.
Ingredient Preparation:
Efficiently prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables, as well as preparing meats and other essential components to ensure everything is ready for cooking.
Food Safety & Sanitation:
Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring that your work area is clean and organized. This includes proper storage of ingredients, labeling food items, and maintaining cleanliness in all preparation areas.
Assisting Chefs:
Aid the kitchen team by setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies, preparing components for various dishes, and providing assistance during service as needed.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all prepared ingredients meet the high standards of Living Room, paying close attention to detail to maintain the consistency and excellence of our culinary offerings.
Kitchen Maintenance:
Help with the cleaning of kitchen equipment, dishes, and workspaces at the end of shifts, contributing to a well-maintained kitchen environment.
RequirementsExperience:
Previous experience in a similar culinary role is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen is essential.
Culinary Skills:
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment, with the ability to accurately follow recipes and instructions.
Attention to Detail:
Strong focus on detail, especially when preparing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness.
Team Player:
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, supporting chefs and fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Physical Stamina:
Must be capable of standing for extended periods and managing the physical demands of a busy kitchen.
Flexible Schedule:
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Food Handler's Certificate:
