Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing maintenance functions at multiple commercial properties, including a non-profit campus with daycare and commercial kitchen, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking lots. This role requires a highly diversified base of knowledge and skills needed to maintain the property to satisfy ownership objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and make repairs in areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, and basic electricals, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company procedures.
  • Perform maintenance service orders associated with preventive maintenance programs, building and safety inspections, OSSE requirements, and annual inspections.
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
  • Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on predetermined schedules and needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with 5 or more years of related experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of facilities management standards, concepts, practices, procedures, and policies with the ability to apply them.
  • Knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC, and customer service, written communications, oral communications.
  • Knowledge of computers and facility software.
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in various situations.
  • Ability to work independently and dependently in a team-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with asbestos and lead-based paint.
  • Professional certifications such as CAMT or CFC Universal are preferred.

The Maintenance Technician III will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple commercial properties, including a non-profit campus with daycare and commercial kitchen, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking lots. The role requires the ability to work independently and dependently in a team-driven environment.
